Effective Date: February 4, 2026
Local Link Leagues (“Local Link Leagues,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a web application that helps people play in-person games at local venues (like bars and breweries). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We aim to keep this simple: we do not sell your data, and we do not run ads. We also do not use third-party marketing trackers.
We collect information in a few ways:
We use your information only to operate, maintain, and improve Local Link Leagues. This includes:
No automated decision-making with legal effects: We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
We share information only in limited situations:
We may use trusted vendors to help us run the service (for example: hosting, databases, email/SMS delivery for OTP, error monitoring). These providers can access information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
Venues may see aggregated or anonymized statistics about gameplay at their location (for example: number of games played, leaderboards, or participation counts). We design this to support community play and venue insights.
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If this happens, we will take steps to ensure your information remains protected and notify you as required.
Local Link Leagues does not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not use third-party marketing trackers (like advertising pixels) on the service.
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
We keep your profile and account data while your account is active.
We keep gameplay and venue-related records to support league history, stats, and venue/community reporting.
If you delete your account:
We retain audit logs for a reasonable period to support:
Retention periods may vary based on the type of log and legal requirements, but we aim to minimize how long we keep them.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information.
You can request a copy of your data (data export). This typically includes profile information and your activity history tied to your account.
You can request account deletion at any time. As described above, we delete personal data and anonymize historical game records to preserve venue/league statistics.
You can request that we correct inaccurate personal information (for example: a display name or phone number).
In certain cases, you may have the right to restrict or object to how we process your data.
Where applicable, you can request your data in a portable format.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Because we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, this is already our default behavior.
You can submit requests through in-app controls (where available) or by contacting us (see Contact Information). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We take security seriously and use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information, including:
No system is 100% secure, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration of your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will:
If changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (for example, an in-app message).
If you have questions, requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us:
