How it works

For venues

Game nights that run themselves.

L3 gives your regulars a reason to come in on a slow night and gives your staff nothing new to do. Players check in, log games and earn rewards on their own.

Questions

Questions players ask

Do I need to download an app?

No. L3 runs in your phone's browser at locallink.gg. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

How do I sign in?

With your phone number. We text you a one-time code, so there's no password to remember. Use the same number you give the venue for loyalty points.

What does it cost?

Nothing. L3 is free for players.

How do rewards reach my loyalty account?

It depends on the venue. Where L3 is connected to the venue's loyalty program, like Square at Forgotten Star, it finds your account by phone number and adds the points when you tap Redeem under Rewards, or as soon as you earn them with Auto-Redeem on. If your number isn't in their program yet, ask the bar to add you.

Other venues use a simple stamp: show the reward at the bar and staff mark it used.

Is it only cribbage?

For now, cribbage is what's running at Forgotten Star. L3 itself isn't tied to one game: check-ins, logging, stats and rewards work the same for any game a venue wants to host.

What if a score is logged wrong?

Everyone in the game gets a notification, and anyone can dispute it from Game History, usually within 24 hours. Disputes are settled in the app, not at the bar.

Who can see me?

Players checked in at the same venue can see your username so they can add you to a game. Open to Play is off until you turn it on, and you can hide yourself from leaderboards in Settings.

Can I get my data or delete my account?

Yes. You can export your data or delete your account from Settings at any time.

About

Built for the third place.

Most of us spend our days moving between home and work. What gets lost is the third place: the neighborhood spot where you can relax, be yourself, and spend time with people just because it feels good.

Game nights already happen in breweries, cafés and bars everywhere, held together by paper sign-up sheets, Facebook posts and someone keeping score on a napkin. Local Link Leagues replaces that with something that stays out of the way: players show up and play, venues build a crowd of regulars, and nobody behind the bar has to manage it.

It starts with cribbage at Forgotten Star Brewing in Fridley, and we're growing carefully across the Twin Cities, one venue at a time.

Local Link Leagues: where neighbors meet, link and play.
